She holds a BA in Visual and Performing Arts from the Victorian College of the Arts and a wide knowledge and understanding of Australian art and painting.

Katrina became immersed in the practice of painting during a residency in Provence, France in 2022 and since then has exhibited in France, Sydney, Brisbane and regional Queensland.

She was a finalist in the Du Rietz Art Award 2024, the Salon des Refusés, Lethbridge Small Scale Art Prize 2024 and the inaugural Noosa Art Prize 2024.

Katrina Pennock’s work embraces a strong, evocative sense of light and place, inspired by her love of European and Australian landscape painters. With respect to tradition she describes her work as modern romantic landscapes.
